Does my Branded Content Have the Shareability Factor?

Branding, Social Media, May 16, 2016

*This post was contributed by our Social Media Director, Stefanie Baum. Brand awareness is strongly built online and that’s why content is so important. But content for content’s sake isn’t enough. You want the kind that followers want to share with their individual audiences to help spread your brand awareness. But how do you create content that holds that secret “shareability” power?

How Influencers Can Help Your Brand on Social Media

Social Media, May 13, 2016

*This post was contributed by our Social Media Director, Stefanie Baum. When I was in college, I still believed that print would survive. Mind you, I graduated in 2010, so this was really just a blatant act of denial. I loved the idea of trained, professional journalists disseminating the news on a tangible piece of paper. But more and more, journalists have turned into bloggers and it turns out there’s a lot of room for brands to use bloggers to sell their products and spread their message. I didn’t want to believe that bloggers would be the movers and shakers of.

Social Media “RIP” Reads Like Branded Cash-In

Social Media, April 22, 2016

The Artist Formerly Known as Prince has died. So far, 2016 has marked the expirations for many of the creative legends of our lifetime. When we lose a creative force, an icon or celebrity, the internet begins a conversation with a blanket theme of mourning. Many brands make the decision to join in on the conversation, but is it the right thing to do? I don’t think so, well, at least not most of the time. Hear me out.

Email Marketing Might be the Best Way to Reach Millennials

Email Marketing, April 19, 2016

They’re a fickle audience with attention spans maxing out at less than seven seconds. Their purchasing behaviors are some of the most baffling stats marketers can crunch. They bore easily and are more concerned with discovering the unknown, making it cool and then kissing it goodbye once it’s gone mainstream. I’m talking about millennials. Hey! I can. I am one.

Changes on Instagram That Will Affect Your Brand

Social Media, March 29, 2016

Instagram recently announced in an article in The New York Times that the platform is shaking up their newsfeed much as Facebook did in 2009. The implementation of a new algorithm will cause more popular posts to remain at the top of users’ feeds, rather than posts appearing in chronological order as users contribute them in live time. The algorithm is generated by user-specific data that will show what is most important to that individual when they first open the Instagram app. On a person-to-person level, this algorithm will assume that you wouldn’t want to miss a popular post from.

Trade Show Gains Your Brand Can Benefit From

Trade Shows, March 10, 2016

Trade shows are a great opportunity to gain exposure for your brand as well as a chance to scope out your competition. They’re also a great place for networking. You never know who you’ll meet and what sort of opportunities may present themselves. However, trade shows can be costly, not just to attend, but to be a vendor as well. There are booth signage costs and table fees. So is it really worth it? We say yes, and here’s why:

LoBo’s Creative Director Goes Analytical on Political Campaigns

Branding, February 25, 2016

Political campaigns are conducted in a similar way to any advertising campaign. A brand is established and messaging is developed, intended to land with the brand’s target audience. But when it comes to politics, the brand isn’t a product but a human being…a human being who may, just in fact, become the most powerful man or woman on the planet. In this case, it’s kind of scary to think that something seemingly as simple as a logo and slogan can not only influence people…it can actually change the world.

Super Bust: 5 Super Bowl Commercials That Lost Big Time

Commercials, February 2, 2016

Over the course of 50 years, there have been some great Super Bowl games and some monumental stinkers. And the same can be said for Super Bowl commercials. Every year, brands spend a major part of their marketing budgets to put their ads in front of the game’s 100 million-plus viewers (up to $5 million for a 30-second spot this year), and a misfire can cause irreparable damage…not to mention immediate online ridicule. Here are five examples of brands that spent big and failed big on Super Bowl Sunday: Dirt Devil – “Fred Astaire” In 1997, Dirt Devil showed the.
